On payments, Belgium leaves little choice: money goes in via Bancontact or Bancontact Pay, and winnings return through the bank. What you may still know as Payconiq has been Bancontact Pay since March 2026. Nearly every Belgian bank card handles Bancontact, with a threshold that rarely drops under €5.
Reckon with €1500 per payment and €2500 per day at Bancontact Pay. The stake lands without delay; on your account it usually appears after one to three banking days, with the site's internal handling added to that.
From signup to first payout
Signup asks the same steps everywhere: name, date of birth and documents, before anything is paid out. An ID and something that evidences your address usually suffice. Depositing under a name other than the account holder's causes delay.
Expect English-language support with no Belgian complaint channel. Hold on to the confirmations of every deposit; in a dispute over a payout those are the only documents that count.
What the law imposes
The Belgian legislator approaches player protection more firmly than players tend to expect with concrete consequences for your account. By default €200 per week per site may go in. A lower limit takes effect directly, going beyond that takes a review and time.
Self-exclusion in Belgium is handled centrally, through EPIS: a single request is enough to stay out everywhere at once. Unlicensed sites are not connected to it. The age bar moved on 1 September 2024 from 18 to 21 for casino, hall and betting; 18 still applies at the National Lottery alone. The bar is statutory, not a house rule.
